ABOUT THE PRACTICE

Super Women's Health is now Changing Tides Funtional Medicine Practice

In 2018, Nurse Practitioner Karine Romain and Entrepreneur Nick Romain founded Super Women’s Health LLC in Rockledge serving Viera, Suntree, Melbourne and surrounding Brevard County communities. A medical practice with a functional approach, specializing in hormonal management with bio-identical hormones, weight management and preconception well-being.

Functional Medicine for Brevard

Kelsey Leslie and Scott Leslie are continuing the mission of providing Functional Medicine to Brevard County as Karine and Nick have retired in 2025. Kelsey and Scott are excited and eager to continue and grow the practice under the new name Changing Tides Functional Medicine.

The focus of Changing Tides is to help you achieve your goals. We all want to feel good and we all should have this opportunity.  We thrive on identifying root causes in order to re-establish balance when possible. Functional medicine is complementary to our conventional approach, but it goes further and does not settle for “normal”.  We look for optimization within the therapeutic ranges, we listen to your symptoms and will use functional laboratories to look for more information and root causes.

The demands of today’s world are affecting our bodies greatly. The internal and external stressors are endless and not without consequences.  Stress, toxins, poor nutrition and underlying conditions will all lead to increased inflammation which will translate in different symptoms and syndromes depending on the individual. The key to a happier you is to achieve balance and to protect yourself from these external toxins.  We focus on the primary needs of the body such as sleeping well, eating a nutritious diet, exercising daily and optimization of your hormones and nutrients. We can use bio-identical hormones if imbalances are noted, detoxify the body if needed and add high grade supplements for known deficiencies.  We offer the support your body will need to adapt and feel your best.

Preventative

Staying healthy takes prevention. That's why thorough consultations include health and wellness education to adopt and sustain a healthy lifestyle.

Holistic

The body and mind are complex and intertwined. A holistic approach is necessary to properly diagnose and heal.

Search for root cause

Treating the symptoms is not enough! The key is to discover the underlying conditions and causes to fix the issue long-term.

Personalized

Precision medicine, aka functional medicine, looks at each patient with fresh eyes instead of relying too much on standardized protocols.
